Carlos Slim Helu is the world's richest man in the world, and for four consecutive he has maintained this position. He is a Mexican business tycoon, philanthropist and an investor and has a net worth of $73 as of March 2013

The 73-year-old business magnate is the Chairman of America Movil, and his source of wealth is majorly from telecoms which stands at $36.3 billion, other of his investment comes from real estate, mining and infrastructure. He is being able to manage and control his companies/empire with his four sons, Carlos, Marco, Antonio and Patrick. they control the industrial and finance company, why he is in charge of the telecom company.

Over the years, America Movil has spread its wings to Europe, buying up the remains of telecom companies like KPN, Dutch telecom and Telekom in Austria

Furthermore Carlos Slim Helu is being qualified as the most generous Latin American. He has a foundation and early this year he pledged to translate into Spanish 1000 videos from the Khan Academy Education non-profit website. He is currently hosting an activity with Bill Gates "the world's second richest man". They are placing funds on research to improve farmer's yield and reduce hunger in the society.
